And, with due respect to Keats, anyone who knows me well knows that every May I like to head to Europe for some sort of adventure. It sure will take a lot to beat the fabulous trip I had last year with Mena and Trevor in Eastern Europe and Germany but here I go again. I cannot wait! Tomorrow I head off and, while this trip will take me to places I've been before (Berlin and Budapest, specifically), it will give me more time to become better acquainted with these lovely cities. I will also get the chance to play tour guide in Alsace showing a couple of friends from Victoria why it has such a special place in my heart. As well, I get a visit with my dear friends near Zurich for a weekend. First off, however, is the usual challenge of figuring out what to pack and why it is these days that my bag seems to contain more electronic gear (cords, rechargers, a dongle, memory cards, etc.) than clothes! Guess it is just a sign of the times. Next, there is the long journey getting there - travelling to Berlin via Vancouver and Heathrow (so NOT my favourite airport!). Fingers crossed, that I arrive with my luggage this time and successfully meet up with my friend at Tegal airport. So, stay tuned as I try to share my experiences. Hopefully, there will be lots to interesting ones to write about. More later . . .
